She will attend Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts to study anthropology.

“This is a really memorable moment for me especially because it’s been a lot of hard work coming up to this moment,” Hernandez said. “Coming from an early college high school is a really big accomplishment for me.”

The QuestBridge National College Match is a college and scholarship application process that helps outstanding low-income high school seniors gain admission and full four-year scholarships to the nation's most selective colleges. That’s how Hernandez chose Williams College. She decided to study anthropology after taking some classes at UTEP.

“After experiencing university life, I’m drawn to becoming a professor because learning is something I really enjoy doing. So, I think going to school for as long as I can, and then being able to teach that kind of stuff is my goal in my life.”
