Elementary Physical Activity Policy
In accordance with policies at EHAB, EHAC, EHBG and FFA, the district will ensure that students in elementary school engage in at least 30 minutes of physical activity per day or 135 minutes per week.
Middle School Physical Activity Policy
In accordance with policies at EHAB, EHAC, EHBG, and FFA, at the middle school level, students in grade 6 engage in at least 30 minutes of physical activity per day or 225 minutes per week. Students in grade 7 participate in physical education course for an average of 170 minutes per week all year long. In grade 8, students may participate in a semester long physical education class that meets a minimum of 170 minutes per week.
The district and its staff strictly enforce prohibitions against the use of tobacco products by students and others on school property and at school-sponsored and school-related activities. [See the Student Code of Conduct and policies FNCD and GKA]
The district has adopted policies and implemented procedures to comply with the state and federal food service guidelines for restricting student access to vending machines.
