School Board Election

The Canutillo ISD Board of Trustees is comprised of seven community members who are elected at-large by the general public. Trustees provide service to the Canutillo community without financial compensation. They serve staggered four-year terms and elections are held biennially on the second Tuesday following the first Monday in November of even-numbered years. The elections of all Trustees are held in a joint election with state and county officers.

The Canutillo Independent School District is accepting candidate applications to fill a vacancy left by the resignation of Trustee Mary Yglesias.

Applicants may be interviewed by the Board on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2020 from 4-6 p.m. A link to a teleconference will be sent to select applicants. Once all applicants have been interviewed, a vote of the Board shall be taken to determine who shall fill the unexpired term.

You may also deliver to the CISD Administration Building located at 7965 Artcraft, El Paso, TX, Nov. 19 - Dec. 4, Monday-Friday, 1:00-4:30 p.m. The deadline to submit an application is Monday, Dec. 7 by noon. Please note that CISD administrative offices will beclosed Nov. 23-27.
