Former Congressman Silvestre Reyes and his wife, Carolina, on Friday received a behind-the-scenes walkthrough of the construction site for the school that will bear their names: Congressman Silvestre & Carolina Reyes Elementary School.
CISD Executive Director of Facilities Dominic Padilla personally showed Congressman and Mrs. Reyes the progress the District has made in completing the school, which is slated to open in the fall of 2015.
The couple were accompanied by former CISD Trustee Ralph Reyes (the congressman's brother) and CISD Director of Student Services Dr. Monica Reyes (the congressman and Mrs. Reyes' daughter).
