Canutillo Middle School

Canutillo Middle School STEAM Academy (CMSSA) was founded in1959. For nearly two decades, Canutillo Junior High School shared instructional facilities with students enrolled in elementary- and high-school grades. In 1979, voters approved a bond that allowed for the construction of a stand-alone CMS and during the summer of 2006 moved to its current location. CMS serves as a feeder school to elementary students who live west of Interstate-10. The proposed 2021 CISD bond, if passed, will allow for significant maintenance and improvements to the campus and additional safety and security upgrades to benefit students and teachers.
