The ability to pay for college right out the Gates is within grasp for a trio of Canutillo Independent School District seniors. Angel Rodriguez and Evelyn Gesualdo-Lopez from Canutillo High School and Mykohl Arellano from Northwest Early College High School have been named finalists for the prestigious Gates Scholarship.

Canutillo Public Information Office earns 10 school public relations awards

The Canutillo Independent School Public Information Office earned nine Gold Stars – the highest designation given – at the 2024 Star Awards Program of the Texas School Public Relations Association. The awards were in recognition of work done to promote students and employees in the District.

Garcia Elementary School hosts talent showcase to highlight after school programming

When the school bell rings, the fun begins. Last night, parents got a chance to catch a glimpse of all the engaging activities their kids are participating in when the school day ends. The Garcia Elementary Texas ACE program students dazzled the audience with their incredible talents in cheerleading, dance and ballet at the “Cheer up and Dance” talent showcase held at the Canutillo High School auditorium.

Canutillo ISD Bond Election would address growth, enrollment loss

The Canutillo Independent School District Board of Trustees tonight accepted the recommendation of its Facility Advisory Task Force and called for a May 4 bond election to address growth and the continued loss in enrollment because of lack of schools in new neighborhoods in the District.
