New Student Registration Documents Required
There are State and District requirements regarding the enrollment of your child in the Canutillo Independent School District. Please bring the documents listed below:
- Your child must be a resident within the boundaries of CANUTILLO ISD (We need TWO PROOFS OF RESIDENCY such as a current utility bill in your name or in the name of the person you are living with.)
- Your child’s IMMUNIZATION RECORD MUST BE UP TO DATE (See the list of all immunizations that are required.)
- PARENT/GUARDIAN IDENTIFICATION (The district shall have a record of the person with legal control who is enrolling the child.)
- BIRTH CERTIFICATE (or other documents suitable as proof of the child’s identity and age).
- SOCIAL SECURITY (This is your child’s PEIMS number, needed by the State to track your Child’s progress, otherwise the State will assign your child a number.)
- SCHOOL RECORDS from the school the child most recently attended.
- PROOF OF INCOME FOR PRE-K STUDENTS ONLY (For eligibility verification, a copy of a parent’s/guardian’s check stub needs to be included in the registration paperwork prior to the first day of school.)

Transfer Request Form
Canutillo ISD will begin using an electronic transfer process for the 2020-2021 school year. This electronic transfer will be accessible through the regular registration process. The ELECTRONIC TRANSFER ACKNOWLEDGEMENT FORM is online and must be filled out and uploaded with the registration documents. Once a transfer is requested in TEAMS, the system will electronically send information to the appropriate personnel for approval. Upon approval and notification to the campus registrar, the registrar will contact you so you can complete the rest of online registration.
Transfers requested for the current 2019-2020 school year will continue to use the paper form which are located at campuses or the Associate Superintendent’s office.
The transfer deadline is May 1, 2020.
