Students from Bill Childress Elementary today participated in the unveiling of the Village of Vinton's "Little Free Library" Program at Mariposa Park.
The program promotes reading among children and families by providing small, elaborately designed bookcases in public spaces so that users can -- free of charge -- check out books to read at home.
Little Free Library is a response to the lack of public libraries in the Vinton area and was organized by Mayor Praino and state Rep. Joe Moody.
