Community Bond Accountability Committee

The Citizens Bond Action Committee (CBAC) is an important committee that will advise the Canutillo ISD administration and school board in planning for facilities that support positive school experiences now and for generations to come. Committee members will learn about the district's growth, facilities and finances, and then provide input and feedback regarding the need and scope of a bond referendum.

CBAC will meet to review presentations and information and create a report of their findings and recommendations for the CISD Board of Trustees. The committee is expected to update the board in July and provide a recommendation at that time or whether the board should consider an election in November 2021 or May 2022.

The Committee will propose and prioritize projects based on the following criteria:

  • Safety/security/health
  • Demographics and growth
  • Financial efficiency
  • District vision, strategic plan, and effective schools framework

CBAC will be comprised of three subcommittees and focus on:

Membership on the committee is open to those in Canutillo ISD who are parents, residents, district employees, business leaders, community leaders, and students. If you are interested, please email your name, contact information, and which committee you’d like to serve on to by April 9.
